My shins still hurt when I woke up, but not as bad as they did yesterday. Hot tub + Cold Plunge + Ibuprofen = slight recovery. :-) I was SO thankful once I started running that I was ok! I certainly didn't feel like I had fresh legs, but somehow my body just knew what to do. At first running in the rain was not that great...

It didn't take too long to get soaked, so at that point, who cares? Dare I say, it was a little... fun? And doing the Dirty Girl 5k made it seem like a cake walk. Every time I stepped in a puddle I just thought - hey, that's nothing compared to the mud run!
If someone had told me a year ago that I would be able to run 5 miles two days after running 18, I would have laughed in their face. If someone had told me yesterday that I would run those 5 miles averaging a 9:31 pace, I would have laughed in their face. Guess who's not laughing today? THIS GIRL! I kicked running's ass this morning!

Now I'm back to hobbling around the office. At least my coworkers seem to find it amusing. After job one I'll be off to job two, but thankfully we no longer have to wear those hideously awful disgusting sausage shirts anymore! Big improvement.
Tomorrow is another running day. Hopefully this rain will be over with by then.
Total Miles Run: 231.12
