Don't count your chickens before your eggs hatch. I spoke too soon - I, in fact, did not run with Andy last night. Instead of a three mile run, we went on a three mile drive to get ice cream cones. :) Oh well, I'm not going to beat myself up about it. My RW Marathon Training book says to consider instances where you miss a run as bonus rest days. Now I will be fully rested for the race tomorrow morning, haha.
Guys - I'm so excited for tomorrow's race, which I think is strange because this really is not my favorite course. I ran this race two years ago with Carrie and Andy. It was blazing hot, the place you park is not exactly close to the starting line (not convenient), the entire first mile or so is up a gnarly hill, and then the finish line is at the top of another hill (cruel). I actually disliked it so much that I convinced Andy to do the Brighton 5k on the 4th of July last year instead. But seriously folks, he and I are going to be marathoners soon, so if we can't handle some heat and some hills, we are in trouble.
Come back tomorrow to read how it goes. I'll even post a picture or two!
As high priestess of the blog, I absolve you. Go in peace.
ReplyDeleteAlso - we haven't been doing arms! We haven't been doing arms!!! ?!?!?!?!?!
Where did you go for ice cream? McDonalds? I love their ice cream!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRebecca - we will resume arms next week. I will make you sorry you reminded me of this. :)
ReplyDeleteAnna - Andy wanted "special" ice cream so McDonald's (or the ice cream we actually had in our freezer) were not good enough. We ended up at Abbott's after a LOT of discussion.
